Tixel Treatment for Blepharitis

About Tixel Treatment for Blepharitis
Tixel is microfractal heat technology to kill the bacteria and rejuvenate oil glads in the eye lids.
The Procedure
-
Preparation: The skin is usually cleansed before the procedure. It is better to not wear makeup to your appointment.
-
Tixel Device: The Tixel device has a metal tip that is heated to a temperature of around 400 degrees Celsius. This tip briefly comes into contact with the skin, transferring thermal energy to the upper layers of the skin.
-
Treatment Application: The heated tip is applied to the skin in a series of brief pulses. It creates microscopic channels in the skin, similar to fractional lasers, but without using light or radiation. The duration and intensity depend on the specific condition being treated.
Aftercare
After the treatment:
- After the treatment, the skin will often appear red and might feel a bit like a sunburn.
- Over the next few days, tiny crusts may form on the treated areas, which will naturally fall off as the skin heals.
- It’s essential to keep the skin moisturised and protected from the sun after the procedure. Your practitioner will typically provide specific post-care instructions.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is this procedure recommended for?
Tixel is used for various skin concerns, including wrinkles, sun damage, scars, and skin laxity. It offers many of the benefits of laser treatments and chemical peels but with less pain and faster recovery time. Always consult with a dermatologist or qualified practitioner to understand if Tixel is right for you and what to expect during and after the treatment.
Is the procedure painful?
Tixel treatment involves a heated device that briefly touches the skin to stimulate collagen production. While some discomfort, similar to intense heat, may be felt during the procedure, it's often tolerable; however, topical numbing can be used for those more sensitive.
